The energy sector has recently trended toward the use of batteries for energy storage to increase the efficiency of energy grids, particularly for load-leveling renewable energy production and usage.  According to this Bloomberg article, the energy storage battery market “will be worth $100 billion by 2025 worldwide, more than five times its size last year.”

Recent technological advances have increased the cost effectiveness of such batteries, and this sector may provide favorable opportunities for investment depending on relative price-to-value levels.
